About Zemen: Brief History of Zemen

“Zemen Development & Management Institute (ZDMI) is a higher education institute established in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in June, 2008. Through our educational partnerships with educational institutes in United Kingdom (UK), we deliver higher education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We also facilitate tailor-made short-trainings mostly in project management areas to clients from Non-profit sector (NGOs) and others. Zemen was established as training provider in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on June 2008. Shortly after, in October 2008, Zemen signed historical agreement with 4cPM Ltd., subsidiary of Castle College Nottingham to deliver an International Diploma in Project Management (IDPM) programme which is conferred/validated by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The IDPM programme has been delivered in many countries and became successful in Ethiopia having more than 220 candidates, of whom 70 have completed/graduated until August, 2011.In September 2009, Zemen signed another historical partnership agreement with Cambridge International College to deliver exclusive prorammes ranging from certificate to Master of Business Administration (MBA). The MBA Programme commenced in November, 2009 with 65 students. In January 2009, Zemen signed partnership agreement with Cambridge International College (CIC) for endorsement and delivery of Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management and Master of Arts in Project Management programmes. Several agreements were later on signed between the two for delivery of customised BA Degree programmes and Master‟s level programmes like MBA in Project Management that strengthened the partnership between the two institutes. Currently, more than 350 students are engaged in the diploma and Master's Programmes delivered between Cambridge International College (CIC) and Zemen Development & Management Institute (CIC). Zemen delivers short-trainings and education mainly on business and project management programmes.

Zemen is recognized by Education & Training Quality Assurance Agency (ETQAA) of Ethiopia as private provider of Higher Education programmes. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme has been accredited by ETQAA for five years (April 2010-2015).
